THE GIRLS EARNED THEIR ROCKET:
Finally the chore chart is complete. The girls have gotten enough stars the get Little Einstien's Rocket and all their favorite characters. Sara was especially excited to get her hands on June and Sydney did a great job of sharing. We are very proud of them.
The girls earned their very last star by going into the childcare room at church all by themselved. It lasted about 10 minutes before the teacher had to bring two crying kids to us but we still consider that a success.

The girls have both are in such a cute stage. I love waking up in the morning and hearing them start playing and pretending with each other. Sara always wakes up so happy. Today she burst in to our room and excitedly said "Well, Good Morning Guys!" What a wonderful way to wake up. Then we all four just hand out in bed and snuggle and talk. I know all that might change when Pat goes back to work so for now we will just appreciate the heck out of it.

OUR SWAN FINALLY FLEW!Oh my GOSH!! Yesterday Sydney started her new ballet class. We were so proud of her. I was close to tears the entire time. She was so brave and did her very best not to be shy. She did outstanding. It was one of those moments as a Mom where you know that this is one of the highest levels of love you can experience. This is what life is all about...appreciating precious moments like this and witnessing you little one get just a little bit bigger. Good Stuff!!

Here is little Sydney balleting.

We did a practice run for Halloween. Syd is Pocahontas and Sara is June from Little Einsteins. I found this grandma on eBay that hand sews June dresses. They are very excited for the big night.

How did we do?

Pat captured Sydney reading to Sara yesterday one of the library books we brought home, That Rabbit Belongs To Emily Brown. She remembers it word for word almost.

Where or where has my little blog gone?.....
Hi - The summer has come and gone since my last blog. There is no way for me to describe in honoring detail all that has gone on, but I can give you some highlights.
This summer has been just wonderful. Pat has been home since April and it has been quite luxurious to be all together all the time. Here is some video of a typical day at the Hardwick house.

We have had a GREAT summer....Here are some of my favorite pics:

........... and Sara playing dressup

Fall has begun: The girls had to wear coats on Monday. Here they are having their snack on the steps.

Mom and Bruce took off on their first retirement Westy voyage. I just got a call from them this morning and they are so happy driving along somewhere on the coast of Oregon with no idea where they will be at the end of the day. This is exactly what I have always dreamed for them...footloose and fancy free.
The girls still like to play dress up. They are such good sisters. They truly enjoy each other's company and have lots of fun together. Sydney still prefers no clothes...but clearly accessories are still a must.
Now that Mom and B are on the road I am recommitting to the blog so they don't have to miss us so bad. So stay tuned for more Hardwick Happenings.....We're back!!
