HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO PAT: 37
Pat turned 37 on Sunday. The girls were very excited to get him a present. This year I let them choose what they were going to get him. Sara wanted to get him a Chompo Bar and 4 balls of bubblegum. (You would have to know the story "A Birthday for Francis" for that to make any sense.) She was very adorable in her conviction to get that for him. Sydney wanted to get him sunglasses which, oddly enough, he completely needed AND she pick out a pair that looks great on him. These girls should come in handy at Christmas time.

I got Pat a leafblower. He decided to try it out on Sydney first. Gotta make sure it is safe enough for leaves, right?

The girls are ready for our trip to Hawaii next week.

Thanksgiving was a good time with my parents. I didn't take as many pictures as I imagined I would. Woops! I gotta be better about that. Here is Andrea and I.

Sydney and Sara performed Swan Lake for us all after dinner. They take their dancing very seriously. Video can't capture how cute it is as they try and act out the struggles of Odette and Prince Sigfreid. video

HAPPY HALLOWEEN
We had a great Halloween with June and Pocahontas. The girls filled their bags with lots of goodies. I have to admit that the candy bag is both a joy as I remember how much I loved going over my loot when I was a kid, and a terror as I imagine my kids eating all that sugar.

Here are a few pics of our little trick or treaters.

The girls had a great time the day after Halloween. They traded costumes and spent the whole day in their new characters. Sara was very methodical about sorting her candy and I discovered that if she had two of anything she was giving her repeat items to Syd. Sydney likes to shake everything and wants to know the names of every piece.

We have a new and improved living room. What do you think? I am so excited to have a room that I like. No more of those crazy couches that would swallow you when you sat in them. Yahoo!! We still need some art work and decor but I love it already.
