Surprise-Day 2

Today has started out nice and slow since the park doesn't open till 10. I have to admit it's a pleasant pace.
The girls are in heaven with donuts and Scooby Doo in bed. The ride of the day has been requested for Goofy's Sky School.
Hotel coffee was surprisingly good. Pat and I did a short bit of hotel yoga to ease or backs from last night. We had to hold each kid up for the entire 40 minutes of World of Color. Whew! I was grateful for our workout history. Ouch!

Sara is learning to tie her shoes.

We started with Tomorrowland this morning.
Syd and I rode the rockets.

While Sara and Pat rode Space Mountain. I guess the ghouled it up for Halloween and Sara does not approve.

The favorite ride of the day was Grizzly River Rapids. As usual there was much worry about what was going to happen. Worry looks like this:

Then at the end if the ride it looks like this:

And this:

We got soaked and loved it. Syd said the ride should be called "The End of Mercy".
Again, again the little squirrels squealed.
Its tough to get food in Disneyland. We desperately needed calories and this is what we found:

Yes, I ate this. You know how desperate I am if I consume something that is blindly labeled "chimichanga". It reminded me of something labeled "burrito" on my Jr. High hot lunch tray. (I regretted this desperate gesture shortly after Star Wars 3d ride, a motion sickness pitfall.)

What is Disneyland without mouse ears. We will model some for you:

We did some teacups:

I rode with Sara. She had mercy on me or maybe I just pretended to be turning the handle.
Afternoon snack was cotton candy which Sara coveted and called her "big ball of bubblegum fluff". It reminded me of a little green creature with a gold ring he called "my precious".

Sara and I waited for Dad and Syd with this lady.

Then we got some matching tattoos.

Then it was time to just be cute:

This picture is for you and I Mom. I believe that Mr. Toad is a cartoon that embodies our spirit and impulse controll.

The end of the day and Sara says"I am just gonna do some jogging".
